Writing Roots: What’s New and Upcoming for the Podcast

New things are coming to the Writing Roots Podcast! Leigh and Ley decided to condense all of the announcements into one bonus episode to introduce you to what’s to come.

Our first announcement is about a problem recently discovered and fixed. If you listen to Writing Roots on podcast apps such as Stitcher, Google, and Apple, you will now be able to access all of the old episodes.

We are also expanding to YouTube in the coming weeks. We will start at the beginning, posting all episodes of Writing Roots so far. For episodes such as character creation using D&D, we’ll be adding the visuals to the YouTube videos. It will be one additional way to listen to and share the podcast.

Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook. We do occasional Facebook Lives to show things such as healthy author/editor relationships and behind-the-scenes looks at our recording process.

Be sure to stay tuned throughout September. Ley and Leigh have invited various experts and professionals in fields that commonly show up in fiction. Some interviews include ones with Ley’s fight choreographer, a biochemist, and a journalist. Extended episodes will be available to everyone. Just email us to request a free digital copy of the full version.

If you want to support Writing Roots, you can become a patron on Patreon. Each episode takes about five hours of work behind the scenes. It’s time we donate to help all authors, but we want to keep the product free and ad free. Supporting as a patron will get you some amazing perks, such as free merch, access to our Discord channel where you can chat directly with us almost any time of the day, and more.

We understand that it may be difficult to sign up for something on a monthly basis (there is a reason we want to keep the podcast free, after all). Supporting us can also mean checking out our Merch Store. We have lots of products featuring our motto, Write Selfishly. It’s an easy one-time way to help support the podcast.

And of course, if you can’t spare the change (again, we totally understand financial difficulties), just rate the podcast wherever you listen. It can make a huge difference in helping us gain more followers and listeners.

Thank you, fantastic people.

Write Selfishly.
